Coto Doñana National Park is located in Andalusia (Spain), near to the town of Huelva. It is a large natural area on the mouth of Guadalquivir, the longest stream in the Andalusia region, known to the Arabs as Wadi al-Kebir [the large river]. The complex of high dunes is the largest in Europe.

The Park has two kind of protected areas:

  • The accesses to the National Park, totally protected, are strictly controlled.
  • The largest Natural Park has wider access facilities

Fauna of the Coto Doñana is very rich of species, specially birds. The most important mammal species is the Linx. The badgers of Doñana live in a particular habitat at low population density. Their diet is based on rabbits and hares, very common in the Park.
