Riassunto - La presente nota tratta di una prima indagine conoscitiva riguardante la distribuzione e la biologia dello scoiattolo (Sciurus vulgaris) realizzata mediante l'elaborazione di 11 questionari compilati da membri del Corpo Forestale dello Stato e 69 avvistamenti di animali.

Abstract - Presence and distribution of the red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris L., 1758) in Como and Lecco counties (Lombardy; Italy): frequency of colour phases (Mammalia¸Rodentia) - The distribution of the two main colour phases of the red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) was studied upon the territory of Como and Lecco (Lombardy; Northern Italy). Data was obtained from questionnaires and sighttings forms filled up by members of the Corps of Foresters.
